Clay & Sarah :: Engagement

I loved photographing Clay & Sarah’s Engagement session on LSU’s campus! It brought back so many memories for me! Although I felt like I lost my sense of direction around there – it was awesome being back! I can’t believe it’s been 5 years since graduating college, time flies.

Sarah and Clay have been dating for a while, they even grew up on the same street! But there’s a funny story behind it. It wasn’t until a class in college when they sat near each other that things changed and they became more than friends. Clay picked up Sarah for their first date…. he asked her address… ironically it was on the same street as him! They had no clue :) I love walking and talking with couples while taking their photos. I get to learn all about how they met, what they do, where they plan to live, talk about their Wedding plans, etc. It’s lots of fun!

I photographed Clay’s sister Katie’s Wedding a couple of months ago, so I was so excited when Clay’s fiance Sarah contacted me to shoot their Engagements :) We had a great day… here are some that I loved:

Giovanni :: 3 Months

I had a great time photographing little Giovanni and his Mom, Francesca last week! He did wonderful for only being 3 months old :) I love the sweet pictures of Mommy and baby, too! We took these over in my favorite green nook in River Ridge, it’s perfect for this age. His outfits were adorable!

Madden :: 6 Months

I loved photographing sweet Madden for his 6 month session – look at that face! He has such a cute smile, but I also love the candid serious faces, too. His outfits were adorable! I will remember this session for a while because I got stunk by a BEE! Shooting outdoors sometimes takes its toll. Last year I got poison ivy, this year a bee sting… I’m waiting for the caterpillar bite, haha! It’s all worth it though because every day I get to do what I love :) Wouldn’t have it any other way! Can’t wait until this little dudes next session, he and his Mom are way too much fun!

Giulianna :: 9 Months

It’s hard to believe that Giulianna is now 9 months! Seems like yesterday I was shooting her parent’s Maternity session!! Leave it up to her Mom, Gia to dress her in the most adorable little sassy outfits. And check out her headpieces!! I am so thankful to get the opportunity to photograph so many children… it makes me smile when Mom’s make an effort to go the extra mile for their shoots. The kids I photograph always look so stinkin’ cute with precious clothes – some choices are playful and creative… some are smocked and monogrammed – I LOVE ALL OF THEM!

I enjoy sharing images from each and every session that I photograph… it gives Mom’s a place for inspiration for their sessions :)

Ryan :: Newborn

Who remembers the Maternity session that I photographed of Baby Ryan’s parents? It was a big surprise whether it was going to be a boy or a girl! Well little Ryan is here and his parents are happy as can be :) I loved spending time with this little man last week, he is just adorable! Thank you Stephen and Heidi for allowing me to capture this time in your life! You will be seeing lots more of Ryan in the upcoming months, I can’t wait for his 3 month session :)
