Little Claire surely worked her session last week! She was all smiles, despite our heat lately! Loved her outfit choices that Momma picked out for her to wear – just precious! I am so thankful to have photographed Abel’s first year. I shot his parents Wedding back in 2010 and was thrilled when I found out Caleb & Katy were expecting. Little Abel came along and I was so happy to spend time with them again this past year. Katy is one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met. Always has a smile on her face, so thoughtful and sweet. Just a complete joy to be around! When we finished Abel’s final “Grow with Me” session last week, Katy gave me a big hug and a card. I opened the card when I got back in the car and it was filled with a long long handwritten note and a PJ’s gift card. I started to get teary eyed because it really meant so much to me. I am not going to lie, sometimes I feel like I just take pictures for a living and I’m not sure how much of an effect I have on people? Katy went out of her way to make sure I felt appreciated and special. Katy, thank you from the bottom of my heart! Your family is very dear to me! I am going to miss seeing you all every 3 months.

A couple of weeks ago we welcomed the newest member into our family. My cousin Kelly had her third child… Katherine Amelia! She is cute as a button and we all can’t get over how much she looks like her older brother, Ben. Last week I went to visit and snap some photos of Sweet Kate. She did great! I love the photos of the 3 Kiddo’s together as well. There’s something about taking pictures of siblings at home. I’m always outdoors shooting in natural light, but I like the simplicity and comfy feeling of the kids with their little sister in bed.
It’s still hard to believe that my cousin and her husband have brought 3 beautiful children into the world. Seems like yesterday that my brothers and all the cousins were running around as children ourselves…. filming magic shows and fake foldger’s coffee commercials! We had so much fun together!

What a joy it is to photograph this little guy! I remember taking his Mommy’s Maternity pictures like it was yesterday! It was the coldest day of the year. Still get chilly thinking about it! When Adam was born, he was diagnosed with a rare blood disease called TARS. Â He doesn’t produce platelets in his blood, so he’s going to need plenty of platelet transfusions over the next year. A side affect of TARS is that he was born without arms.
This Saturday, there is a benefit cabbage ball tournament for Adam. I am giving a gift certificate, if any of you reading this would like to donate money or a gift certificate, please let me know! This past weekend my friends Tim & Dana had a ‘Gender Reveal’ Party! They are expecting a little BOY in November! This has got to be one of the most exciting things ever, I think I was as nervous as them before cutting the cake! For those of you who don’t know how this works. Dana had her ultrasound done on Friday, without looking at the gender photo – she took that straight to the bakery. The bakery made her a cake filled with BLUE icing. Tim & Dana cut the cake to find out that they were going to have a little boy! You may remember their Bahamas Wedding back in 2010? Anyway, just wanted to share a few photos from the day! We had such a great time with our friends :)
I’ve had the pleasure of photographing this adorable family for a couple of years now. Beau and Ellie are just precious… and guess what… Baby #3 is on the way :) Looking forward to that newborn session coming up soon! This session was photographed in one of my favorite areas of City Park, very rustic and overgrown. Woahh, it’s really getting hot out there! We got some great shots before we all melted away! hehe

Farhoud & Hana were so cute, I enjoyed shooting their Engagement session! Farhoud is from New York and Hana is from New Orleans! Farhoud flew in for their Engagement session!! They are both planning to live in NY once they get married. We took these at City Park – the first day we were scheduled to shoot, we pulled up to the session and it started pouring!! We were able to snap a few, but winded up rescheduling for the following day! We had beautiful weather our 2nd go round!

6.12.10! I can’t believe it’s been 2 years since I married my best friend. It seems like yesterday. Thank you God for blessing me with Randy, I am forever grateful to you. We took this photo last year for our 1 year shoot ;)
I’ve enjoyed the nice little break I gave myself this past week. Although, I edited and blogged every day, it’s good to put down the camera every once and in while. I cleaned house, did laundry, lunched with friends, read for hours, went for a few runs and just enjoyed having more time in my day. For so long all I knew how to do was rush rush rush to make sure I got everything done. Slowly, I’m learning to let go of the fast paced lifestyle. I’ve truly enjoyed having some weekend time off lately, too. Life is good!
Caden has the cutest little personality! Loved his fireman rain jacket, umbrella, cool sunglasses, beach wear, etc! He rocked his session :) This is SUCH a fun age to photograph and I wish I was able to capture this age more often. They aren’t toddlers anymore and not yet too old to want to have their picture taken. Love when they HAM it up! I had a great time with Caden for his session! (Minus my camera’s shutter breaking when I first began the shoot… thank goodness for backup cameras!!!)
I had a great time photographing Jude for his 1 Year Photos! He was dressed in the most adorable little outfits! His 1st Birthday theme was “Pancakes & Pajama’s”, so we finished up his session with PJ’s and big stack of colored pancakes. LOVED this session and the creativity with the Pancakes instead of a Smash cake. Great Job, Mama!! These were taken at Rivertown Park. Jude could be the Gerber Baby… so handsome! Check out that blonde hair and those blue eyes!!

I photographed this little cutie last week for his 6 month session! Mommy & Daddy hopped in for a few, too :) Grant has the most precious dimples. Loved his outfits, too! His Mom, Lindsey came with some really cute ideas… the overalls & watermelon and the block trucks! Looking forward to watching Grant grow and change even more over the upcoming sessions :)

Greyson smiled for almost every single photo that I took during his session last week. For 6 months, he surely has a little personality :) I loved his outfits! Welcome to this big ole world, Julia!! She did wonderful for her newborn session last week. What a little beauty! Stella is such a cutie! She did great for her 9 Month session, loved all the sweet summery outfits that her Mommy brought along. We took these at Rivertown Heritage Park. Ariana contacted me about photographing a session of her Grandmother, Mother, Herself and 2 Nieces. We took these at Oak Alley Plantation. What a GORGEOUS area! It’s so peaceful and relaxing, I will definitely be back one day to soak in all the beauty! What an honor it was to photograph 4 generations!!!

What an honor it is to photograph Men in uniform! I was excited when Lauren contacted me about shooting her Engagement session! She wanted a mix of French Quarter photos and then some at the D Day Museum with Jared in uniform. We had such a fun day walking around and they even stopped at a cute little bar to grab a drink. Always makes for fun photos! You can’t deny the love between this adorable couple. Thank you both for having me photograph this special time. Thank you Jared for serving our country- you are a hero!
