Late post tonight! Randy’s watching a band play with his friends so I figured I’d get a little work done. I’m just getting home from Baton Rouge where I had two awesome shoots. The cutest little 8 Month old and also a Bridal Session. I photographed my bride Beverly, her wedding is next month. She was STUNNING! I definitely will have a hard time keeping those a secret until her Wedding is over.

Here is Ron & Reney- they were so much fun! You know how you just come across those people in life where you meet them for the first time and you feel like you’ve known them forever? Relaxed conversation and a bunch of laughs and goofing off? That’s them- they were adorable! I also went to Baton Rouge last week to photograph these, we were at the Rural Life Museum. I will be shooting their Wedding next month as well and I can’t wait! I was obsessed with Reney’s beautiful blue eyes- she’s just such a natural beauty!

Agnes Mae :: Newborn

Todays post is very special to me. Ryan & Bridget are my first couple where I’ve photographed their Engagement, Wedding and now Newborn photos. It’s truly been an honor to capture their journey up until this point – I can’t thank them enough for allowing me to be their photographer over the years. I look forward to watching Agnes grow up, she has two sweet parents that love her very much! Bridget often emailed me throughout her pregnancy to say she couldn’t wait for the newborn shoot and was excited about the little hats that she found on etsy for us to use!

Well, last week I took a little trip up to Baton Rouge to photograph one of the most precious, flawless little girls I’ve ever seen. She is just beautiful! It was great to see how well Ryan and Bridget have adapted to being parents in just a few short weeks. Such a blessing!

So, here are some that I LOVED from Agnes Mae’s shoot, she did GREAT!!!

Cooper :: 1 Year

I can’t thank Cooper’s Mom, Kalee enough! She was the first person to call me and say, “Jen- I really think you should start some kind of “Grow With Me” Package.’ She called me once and I said, I’d get back to her. I wasn’t sure where to begin with this? I put it on the back burner. She called again a few weeks later to see what I had come up with! It was then I knew I needed to get this package started. I brainstormed a bit and I am SO HAPPY to now offer this. With 10 kids now members of this “club”, it’s made me realize how important this is! You child grows and changes so much within that first year, it’s just amazing. I wish I would do these sessions for free- that’s how much I love doing them. I get to truly know the child, I form a great relationship with the parents, the kids get used to the camera – it’s a win win for everyone. At the end of the year – you have all the photo CD’s! Each 3 months we have a shoot! It’s a fun experience :)

So enough of my rambling, here is COOPER!! He did so great for his one year session! His Mom started him at the 3 month mark, so here is what we’ve done so far!

Matt & Martha :: Wedding

Hey Ya’ll – Happy Monday! At the rate I’m going, expect a post every weekday for the upcoming months! I’ve had a ton of shoots lately and Weddings the last couple weekends. This week, I’m preparing for my 6 shoots and 16 Easter Sessions on Sunday. The rain may get in my way a little, it’s saying we have some chance of showers over the next few days. Crossing my fingers I won’t have to reschedule anyone!

Matt & Martha married on March 19th, 2011! Prep began at the beautiful Park View Guest House on St. Charles, then we headed to the Audubon Zoo Swamp Exhibit where the Ceremony and Reception took place. We had a great time documenting Matt & Martha’s BIG DAY! Here are some of my favorites :)

Nora :: Children

Little Miss Nora did great for her 3 year old shoot! I love photographing this age because they are just learning how to take direction and focus on the camera! Move your head this way, look this way, look up at me here, pose like this, etc — it was too cute! Her Mom Lauren played some tunes for us on her iphone as Nora worked it! She loves to move and dance so I told her parents she’d be great in a dance class. I took dancing for 11 years when I was younger and it was so much fun. Nora would love it! I’ve known her Mom Lauren for as long as I can remember, so it was so crazy photographing Nora, she’s like a “mini-me” of her Mom.

I love these photos, she looks so beautiful!
