Adam & Lori :: Engagement

I hope you all enjoyed your Easter Weekend, it was great to spend time with my friends, family and Randy. Sometimes it’s nice to just be lazy. I was finally able to drink a beer and eat some ice cream. (Two things that I gave up over lent) I’ve been in somewhat of a fast paced mental work mode for quite sometime now, it’s hard for me to loosen up sometimes when I do get a break. Do you guys ever feel that way? I always feel like there’s something I coulldddd be doing. As I sit here editing and preparing for my shoots this week… I am reminded how fortunate I am. I never thought I would constantly have sessions to update on a weekly basis here on the blog. I’m happy that my days are filled with beautiful people who hire me to take their pictures. I’m excited to see what the future holds for my business. Thanks for joining me while I’m along for the ride :)

Meet Adam and Lori! I photographed them last week at City Park, they were in town from Houston. Adam and Lori will be marrying this October in New Orleans! Looking forward to capturing the big day. I had fun with these two last weekend, here are some of my favs!

I love cowboy boots, so of course I liked shoe change!

Lauren :: Bridals

I photographed Lauren’s Bridals several months ago and I’ve been waiting to share for a while now! Lauren and Dan married last weekend, I am in the middle of editing their Wedding. I’ll post those next week when I’m finished :) We took her Bridals at City Park, the weather was cool and comfortable! Lauren looked just BEAUTIFUL!

Things have been really busy lately, its the time of year. I took a little break this past Wednesday and went to the Beau Rivage with 2 of my friends. They are both pharmacists, so they live very busy lives as well. We needed a getaway, a little retreat. We hung out by the pool, drank frosty drinks, soaked up some sun, won some money at the casino, got massages and ate dinner at Ruth’s Chris. We all need to do that every now and then. Remembering to pamper yourself does a body and mind some good! It’s fun to just refresh and come back to work with a clear head. Looking forward to spending time with my family this weekend. I haven’t had a weekend off in quite some time. I turned down several weddings for this upcoming Saturday. Sometimes you just need to say No and remember what’s most important during the Holidays. Family, laughing, eating good food, celebrating being in good health, remembering that Jesus gave up his life for us, the list goes on and on. I hope you all truly enjoy your weekend and remember to give thanks. I will cherish the upcoming days as I’m sure you will too. Happy Good Friday :)

Here are some of my favs from Lauren’s Session:

Justin & Amanda :: Engagement

I photographed Justin and Amanda’s Engagement Session last week! We headed to the Marginy for the beginning of their shoot. It was a pretty day, yet drizzled on us for a second. We got lucky and the rest of our session turned out just fine! Amanda was all about giving  me complete control to go where ever I thought. She’s like “I know you’ve got an eye for it, so I’ll just leave it up to you… you know what looks good!” Amanda is a hair stylist, so she said she likes when clients give her creative control to do her thing, too! I love stumbling upon cool new spots. Afterward, we headed to City Park to take a few. LOVE the ice cream addition to their session :)

I’ve known Justin since we were little and it’s crazy to think we’re all grown up now and I’ll be documenting their Wedding this November! Amanda is super sweet and I couldn’t wait for her to see these photos. This is another one of my favorite shoots so far! Loved it!

These were fun, I loved all the old, random stuff laying around!Love this background!Some of my all time favs!

Reese-Estelle & Jack :: Portraits

I headed to City Park last week to photograph Reese-Estelle and her adorable baby brother Jack! The weather was awesome for us! Reese-Estelle is almost 4 and Jack is 6 months, they were so fun to photograph! Here are some of my favs!!

Seriously, look at that SMILE!!!SO SWEET!Cutie pies :)One tired little man!

Sophie :: 1 Year

I had a blast photographing Sophie’s 1 year photos last week. She is adorable and her parents and brother are sweet as pie! It was great to see everyone! Do you remember them from not too long ago? I took their Family Portraits at City Park last Novemeber! We headed to the Rivertown area in Kenner to take these photos, we found  some fun little backgrounds. Miss Sophie really enjoyed her smash cake at the end of her session, they always do! 1 year sessions are one of my favorite things to shoot! I look forward to watching Sophie grow up over the upcoming years!

There’s something about this one I LOVE!The cake! Nom nom nom…hahaha :)
