Ellie :: 1 Year

Sweet Ellie is turning ONE! We took these on Monday at City Park and the weather wasn’t too bad for us – there was a slight breeze! I loved all of her outfits the Mom, Rebecca brought along. She had pink and white balloons and a cute smash cake from Haydel’s! Ellie really enjoyed that towards the end :)

Yea, so it’s almost midnight and I’m editing- really need to go to sleep but these photos were just too cute not to finish up tonight! I have two shoots in the AM and then I have the weekend off, looking forward to catching up with family and friends. I hope to have another session to share with you all tomorrow!

Gabrielle :: 9 Months

Seriously I could have eaten her up! Gabrielle was the cutest little thing, she smiled about 90% of the time during her session! And that hair! Look at the locks on her, she’s only 9 months! Needless to say, I had the best time photographing Gabrielle. I went to high school with her Aunt Alexis, so it was fun catching up with her. Alexis tagged along for the session with her older sister Alicia, who is Gabrielle’s Mom.

I’ve gotten through 3 of my 6 shoots this week and hoping the weather still cooperates with me for the rest of them! It’s been a bit overcast, which is nice sometimes. It allows me to try out different places in the parks, where as typically I would be dodging them because of the direct sun. The clouds act as a natural diffuser for me.

I hope everyone is having a great week. I just got home from the grocery: the fridge is full of strawberry beer, meat and veggies. We are grilling tonight and having friends over. Looking forward to soaking in a little evening summer fun tonight. We are headed the beach next week for a 4th of July trip with friends and I can’t wait. I need a little rest and relaxation to refresh! There’s been so much shooting going on lately, I haven’t had much time for personal posts. I’ll be sure to take some photos on our trip to share here.

Stephanie & Shane :: Maternity

Last week I photographed Stephanie and Shane! Stephanie is very close to delivering and she looks great! I am always so happy to photograph somewhere new. Stephanie and Shane live close to me in the River Ridge area so she suggested that we stay around the neighborhood for their session. I loved all the beautiful greenery we stumbled upon between her backyard, her moms backyard and this pretty open area we found. The light was beautiful that day! My favorite part about my job is getting to meet so many different personalities. I really enjoy meeting new people and getting the opportunity to chat while I’m snapping away.

Thank you Steph and Shane for letting me capture such a special time in your lives, I can’t wait to meet the little man when he decides to enter this big ole’ world :)

The Fitzmorris’ :: Family

I had a great time last week photographing The Fitzmorris Family! Mom, Angelle is a photographer also! It’s been really humbling getting local photographers book sessions with me lately! I have another one coming up next month :)

We headed to City Park to shoot these, I always love the overgrown grass look which we were able to find towards the end. They all did great and you can tell they weren’t shy in front of the lens, loved the emotion in these – such a beautiful family!! Thanks again Patrick, Angelle and Addison for having me capture your life, even for a brief hour!

Morgan :: Portraits

This past Tuesday I had the pleasure of photographing a cute little girl named Morgan!! We headed to the French Quarter for these and she was such a trooper! Loved all of her outfits and hair flowers, it was nice to get a few shots with her parents as well.
