As a wife and mom of 5, I understand how important capturing those fleeting moments are. The Knox’s :: Family

I had a great time last week photographing The Knox Family! Hillary emailed me saying that she was happy she stumbled upon my website! She was looking to take photos of her family while she and her sister were in town for Thanksgiving! It was so nice to meet these guys, we shared lots of laughs. It was a tad windy, which had the girls eyes watering, but soon it calmed down and we were good to go! Overall, it was nice day for photos :) Here are some of my favs!

Lainey :: 6 Months

Lainey is one of my ‘Grow With Me’ kiddos and was due for her 6 month session! We took these at City Park, it was a perty day! We added brothers Hunter & Quinn in for some too! This time of year alot of my GWM clients include family so they can send out Holiday cards :) Dianna has the cutest kids ever- I swear I couldn’t help but smile the whole time I was editing. I love the way Hunter and Quinn interact with their sister, Lainey! They love her so much! Little hugs and kisses throughout the shoot!

Here are some of my favs of all the kids :)

The Mahia’s :: Family

I photographed the Mahia Family last week and they were precious! We took these at City Park and it was a beautiful day. This family is good friends with The Burke Family that I photographed a few weeks back. It’s always so nice to get to photograph groups of friends :) I am finally caught up with all Wedding editing and now it’s just full on portrait editing and Wedding album design.  Well at least for the next 2 weeks until my December Wedding. Moving right on through – I photographed 6 Family sessions this past week!!! Phewwww, it was fun though! (Woke up at 6:45am this morning to start my day of editing- needed to get work done early so I could be wrapped up in time to tailgate today!!) Jen=not a morning person! Saint’s game though, Monday night football! WHO DAT!

Here are my favs from their session:

Juan & Tara :: Wedding

Juan and Tara married on 11.11.11!! What a memorable date, right?! I had so much fun shooting their Engagement session earlier this year and was really looking forward to their Wedding. Preparation was at the Astor Crown, the Ceremony was at St. Louis Cathedral and the Reception was on the Creole Queen Riverboat! Their reception was surely one to remember. We all got on at the docking station and the boat went out on a 3 hour Mississippi River tour! That was a FIRST for both my assistant, Kacie and I! We’d never shot photos on a ship before :)

Tara & Juan asked to do a “first look” in the Cathedral before the Ceremony started. Those moments are always priceless – it’s an honor to be there to capture their reactions when seeing each other for the first time dressed in the Wedding attire! I also loved the natural light images we were able to get as the sun was going down when the ceremony ended – that’s my favorite time of day! Thank you Juan & Tara for allowing us to capture your Wedding! Tara, I’ve always appreciated your little messages and blog comments you’ve sent my way in the past – thank you for always being soo sweet! On a side note, I’ve really enjoyed how facebook has allowed me to keep up with so many of my clients – it’s the best! I love catching up with their lives even after all the Wedding festivities are over!

Here are some fun shots from the day!!!

Patrick :: 1 Year

Anddd another ‘Grow With Me’ kiddo turns ONE! (tear) They just get big way too fast! I’ve always loved taking Patrick’s photos, he has the most beautiful blue eyes and the camera loves him! I could have taken him home with me when his Mom, Amelia dressed him in the white button down, jeans and baby tie! How cute is that?! Well it’s been a busy past few weeks around here, trying to get everyone their images back in time, all while taking care of my current portrait sessions. Please be patient with me guys :) I had two more shoots this morning! Looking forward to taking off tomorrow and spending the day with my family. I wish you all a wonderful Thanksgiving!
