Mother’s Day 2012

I am so fortunate to have such wonderful Mom’s in my life. I only hope to one day be HALF the Mom that my Mom and Mother-in-law have been! Even though I don’t say it enough, they mean so much to me! I am truly blessed and I thank God everyday for giving me this life. Sometimes I wonder how I got so lucky?

This past Thursday, I gathered my 3 Brothers, my Husband Randy, my sister-in-law Jen, and my brother-in-law Dustin! We headed to City Park at 7pm for some family portraits for our Mama’s! My grandmother took us all out to dinner afterwards, which was such a treat!! Although none of of us have children yet, it’s never too late to do something special like this.

Many of you might wonder why people spend so much time, effort and money on pictures. THEY ARE PRICELESS!!! I believe it’s one of the best gifts that you can give. I loved seeing their reactions, it’s the best feeling in the world! I hope one day that my photography allows you to feel this way. Loved, appreciated and celebrated!! Life is short – embrace it!

My Mom said this afternoon….. “JEN! I look at your pictures every day! Finally a shoot of my own children!!” Then…..I melted….

The Trouard’s :: Family

The Trouard’s are such a sweet family! We headed over to Rivertown Heritage Park to take these, love this spot! We were able to get family photos, Emma and Gavin together, some portraits of Emma (she is SUCH a model), then some portraits of Gavin. Ohh, and we can’t forget Gavin’s cake smash for turning ONE!! I am so pleased with all the smiles we got from the kids – this was such a fun session :)

Patrick :: 18 Months

I’ve really enjoyed photographing Patrick over the past year! He is such a ball or energy! His Mom, Amelia suggest the French Quarter for this session and I was all for it! I love the colored backgrounds and fun textures. His outfits were too cute – loved the ‘Patrick’ name blocks and baby blue sunglasses! This kids got style ;) Can’t wait until his 2 year session in November. I’m very thankful for Mommy’s like Patricks who book for the whole year – that makes me happy because I get to watch them change and grow!

Eddie & Christina :: Wedding

I had a wonderful time photographing Eddie & Christina’s Wedding. They married on April 20, 2012. Preparation was held at Chateau Bourbon, the Ceremony was at St. Anthony of Padua and the Reception was at the Pavilion of Two Sisters. It’s always a blast working with Blink Video! Christina was such a joy to work with… from her Engagements, to her Bridals and then the Big Day! I couldn’t have asked for a sweeter bride.

I’ve been looking forward to sharing Christina’s Bridals with you all for quite some time. I am working on her Wedding right now – I’ll have it up this week!! Christina is so sweet and just beautiful! I enjoyed taking these in City Park several weeks back. When we first headed outside to begin her session, the clouds started shifting and the thunder began to rumble! Thankfully, we made it through just in time. I literally walked back to my car and it started pouring! Ahh! I love the way her Bridals came out, here are some of my favs:
