Alicia & Mike :: Maternity

I am like a wildflower when it comes to shooting in new locations. My creative juices start to flow when I’m allowed outside of my comfort zone. Thank you Mike & Alicia for having me travel to your beautiful home in Covington, it made for a gorgeous backdrop for these photos! I am in love with every single one, I could post them all! It was so fun seeing you guys again, feels like yesterday we were taking the Engagement session. I am so happy for you two! I know you are both excited for your little Tobi girl to get here :)

Here are some that I LOVED from the day:

Caroline :: 1 Year

I had a wonderful time photographing the first year of Caroline’s life! And her Mommy is one of the sweetest clients ever! For her one year session, her big brothers jumped in for some pictures and I am glad they did. These are too cute :) I love the affection they have with their little sis. I will be sad not to see this family every 3 months, they were always a pleasure to photograph!

Here are some favs:

Jackson :: Newborn

I photographed sweet Jackson during Christmas week since he decided to come early :) He has such a cute little face, here are some favorites from our session:

Carl, Amy & Louis :: Welcoming Baby

Here’s a little something new for you! I had the honor of photographing an all natural Waterbirth during Christmas week. My friend Dayna Dyle texted me that morning and asked if I was interested in helping document the birth of her friend’s baby at Touro. Dayna knew that Waterbirth is something that I’ve always been amazed by since finding out I was pregnant. Well even before I was pregnant, I always chatted with my friends about how this is something I am interested in. I understand the amount of dedication and strength it requires to have a natural birth, but it fascinates me. Lately I’ve been reading Hypnobirthing books and watching birth documentaries such as “Business of Being Born” & “Pregnant in America.” I highly recommend watching these if you are prego!

It was a wonderful day, I was at the hospital from about 11:30am til 8:30pm. The room was filled with meditation music and the occasional moans of Amy laboring. What a strong woman!! I could go on and on about how incredible it was to witness this birth, but I hope that my photos will show you a little glimpse at the day. Welcome to the world, Louis! You are just too precious!

Here are some favs from the day. Thank you Carl and Amy for allowing me to post a few from the birth :) If any of you are interested in having me photograph your birth, please email me. This is something I am thinking about offering now.

We’re having a Baby!

Well I guess it’s finally time I told the blog world our wonderful news. My husband Randy and I are having our first little one this coming July. I am 13 weeks pregnant :) If you follow my facebook page, I made an announcement on there around Christmas time… but I figured I would post something here, too. I haven’t blogged here in a couple of weeks because I gave myself some time off over the Holidays to enjoy being with family and friends. I plan to do this every year. Next December I am going to try and do a mini session so I can fit in more clients.

So here are some prego announcement photos that our great friends Beebe & Corine Tran took of us a few weeks back. We are so thankful for these :) We used some on our Christmas card this year! Well I just wanted to share our news and let you know that I’ll resume soon with client images and postings ASAP. I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Year!
