I photographed the Blancher kiddo’s this past weekend in City Park. Piper, Blaze and Lola!! Seriously, I am not sure they could be any cuter. The first outfit was something a little funky which I ALWAYS love! Then they changed into something dressy casual. They are little balls of energy, I had so much fun with them! I’ve known them since they were young. Remember Rhemi Penado? This is her dad’s sister, Christine’s kids. I can’t help but think while editing…. ‘I wonder what their mom is going to think when she looks at these?’ I feel like moms see portraits of their kids and wonder when her babies grew up? It’s something that’s constantly in my mind when I photograph kids. The ability to capture children and their innocence is something that will always amaze me. How is that you can take a picture and preserve such an irreplaceable time in their life. This is why I love what I do. After my sessions I feel like I’m a part of their life now, even if it’s just in a small way. I had another mom call me to book the ‘Grow With Me’ Package for her little one. It puts a smile on my face knowing that I’ll be documenting that childs first year of life. It also makes me think about the day I’ll be able to photograph my own children. What will they look like? At what point will I be at in my career? What will be different then? So many things that I am looking forward to. So many things that I am in no rush to figure out. Enjoying the ride that God’s got me cruising on right now and overly thankful for so much.
