Randy and I photographed Chris and Stephanie’s Wedding this past Saturday – October 30th, 2010. They came all the way from New York to have their destination wedding here in NOLA! Stephanie did a fantastic job planning and made sure to have lots of New Orleans details. (2nd Line, Jazz Band, Mardi Gras Beads, a Reception balcony overlooking Bourbon Street, and 13 cake pulls for New York girls who didn’t even know what they were, haha!) I LOVE when I get the opportunity to shoot Weddings that have a theme. Being that theirs was the day before Halloween, they incorporated shades of orange and purple. Preparation began at Chateau Bourbon where Stephanie got all dolled up with her bridesmaids. We then headed to House of Blues – The Parish where the Ceremony took place. That room has such a unique vibe! Randy actually performed in that very room with his band last year. It looks totally different when its set up for a ceremony, I was able to view all the beautiful features that I overlooked last year. It was perfect! The jazz band played as we exited the Ceremony and second lined all throughout the French Quarter. We found another newly married couple while walking and Stephanie and Chris wanted to have their picture taken with them! :) There seemed to be lots of weddings going on that day. We were able to get some great shots of the Wedding Party having fun in the streets before the sun went down! We then headed to Pat O’s Briar’s Suite were the Reception was held. Some guests dressed in costume, others threw beads of the Pat O’s private balcony, and they all danced the night away! It was great to view all the Halloween party animals on Bourbon Street while we were up above capturing Stephanie and Chris’ Wedding! Thanks guys, we had a blast! :) Hope you are enjoying your honeymoon!
