Spring is in the Air!

So you’re probably wondering where I’ve been. I’ve barely posted anything this week! Wow, its been a crazy past few days. I have made lists for every single day just to make sure I don’t forget something important. I’ve been up early every morning and I’ve been to bed late every night. There just wasn’t enough hours in the week. I’m not complaining it’s just sometimes I overdo it a little! Since the weather is nice, everyone has been calling and emailing like crazy for photo sessions. I have 7 sessions booked next week. That may be a record for me? I’m not even sure anymore. I CAN’T wait! Lots of awesome shoots coming up and I’m looking forward to sharing some with you all! This is my favorite time of year, the weather has been gorgeous and we have sunlight until at least 7pm! YES!

As for today, Randy and I shot our engagement pictures! Wow, I finally understand what it feels like to be on the other side of the lens. Now I know what all my couples go through when I shoot their engagement pictures! I didn’t think planning coordinating outfits would be so stressful and time consuming! But overall, we had a really great time, I was surprised. I was soo nervous about it! I kept thinking I was going wig out and forget what to do! When we got there all my nerves went away, I just rolled with it and reminded myself to live in the moment. Just to enjoy it! This is what being engaged is all about. Savoring these little memories that make this particular time in life so special. So I decided to do that, I said a couple of prayers on the way there and we just made the best of it.

So tomorrow is the Easter Session! 22 Sessions booked, some sessions have more than one child. It’s going to be soo fun! I can’t wait to see everyone- past clients and even lots of new ones! I have to tell you that it was alot easier this go round. I still have the Easter Shoot Scene fresh in my mind from last year. So I had everything put together within a few hours. Randy helped me grab the hay from my Dad’s stables in my parents backyard. (Yes, we have horses and a big red barn in our backyard). So the bales of hay were first, then the white picket fence, next the bench, old time wagon and birdcage. Lastly, my mom and I went to Home Depot and bought lots of pretty flowers! The 2 bunnies and 5 chicks are awaiting their close ups tomorrow! Treats for the kids are ready to go! I am so excited just thinking about it!

So tomorrow evening is Randy and I’s Couple’s Shower. (Umm, did I mention how insane my week has been?) Yes, well tomorrow is another party and time is just flying right along! We are definitely getting close! Looking forward to seeing our family and friends tomorrow night and relaxing after a busy week for both of us. I’m sure I’ll have some photos to share from this too!

As for Sunday, besides Church, I have no plans…. I may even sleep til noon? I may stay in my PJ’S for the majority of the day? Who knows. I’m not really worrying about!

So I leave you with a couple of photos of us after our Engagement pictures tonight. Taken on my iphone, nothing fancy! I just wanted to remember what tonight felt like, what we looked like, what we ate, what was going on in my head, etc!! Sooo… we went to SLICE on St. Charles, it was so good! All I wanted was Pizza and Beer! I had eaten good ALL WEEK, didn’t cheat once! This was a like mini victory meal after our photos :)
