Last Friday –> October 8, 2010, we had the pleasure of photographing Scott and Amy’s Wedding! Prep was held at The Beauty Lounge on South Peters. When I walked in, I got that feeling of New Orleans charm mixed with a sassy flare of a beauty salon. I loved the exposed brick walls, the funky furniture and the damask printed wallpaper. I NEED that somewhere in our house on an accent wall, it’s so beautiful! Amy looked radiant in front of it, reminded me of a pinup model backdrop.
The ceremony and reception was held at The Audubon Clubhouse, this will have been my third time shooting a wedding there and I fall in love with it a little more each time. It’s so intimate and romantic, it’s surrounded by huge beautiful oak trees. The DJ that Amy and Scott had at the wedding was amazing, he played vinyl records. I swear I want to have a party just so I can hire him. Awesome! Randy was in awe over his records, some were so old and in perfect condition! I can tell Amy spent a great deal of time on her wedding details, which is one of my favorite things to photograph! All around we had a great time shooting this wedding, there were times when guests were coming up to me and Randy and giving us high fives. At one point, one of the guys took my camera from around my neck and started shooting! We always love an energetic wedding with fun guests! :)
