Today I am….
Excited. Exhausted. Hopeful. Grateful. Passionate. Happy. Busy. Loved.
This morning kicked off Day 1 of the 2009 Pictage Photography Partner Conference at the Astor Crown here in New Orleans. I didn’t schedule any shoots Monday-Thursday of this week so I could be a part of this conference. It’s basically 2 1/2 days of attending lectures given by some of the top photographers in the industry. It’s awesome to see so many people come together for one love….Photography. I enjoy attending workshops and lectures, they are refreshing and inspiring. It’s great to meet new people, to stay afloat within the industry, to learn new techniques, and further my photography knowledge. I don’t ever want to stop learning. Today I attended Jeff & Erin Youngren, Scarlett Lillian, Mike Colon, and Denis Reggie’s lectures.
It’s nothing new…. I am one of the youngest in my profession. At just 24 years old, I am taking my craft and using my age to my advantage. Heck, sometimes I feel like I got a head start by starting my business right after I graduated from LSU. In 2 years I’ve witnessed my photography evolve and my business grow. I am wiser, stronger and my thirst still isn’t quenched. I will continue to challenge myself. I’m looking forward to seeing what the next few years bring. Lots of great things are in store.
On another note…Â last night I went to the Monday Night Football Saint’s game @ the Dome. We are 7-0, which is absolutely insane!

My blog may get neglected this week…. between the Photography Conference, my photography showing party that my Aunt is throwing for me tomorrow night, my networking meeting Thursday night and my shoots and meetings scheduled for Friday, I may not get a chance to blog. I have like 5 awesome shoots waiting to be blogged, so stay tuned :)
