So, I’m just getting home…its 10pm, the meeting started at 6. I love my Networking Group! We meet the first and third Thursday of every month. I’ve made some really great friends and I’ve actually grown closer to the friends that I had going into the group. We started out meeting at this restaurant and having a very formal type “business meeting.” Everything was stuffy and no one felt comfortable, to be completely honest… I hated it! I would come home and be like “Okay, I just don’t think this is for me, its not my style, I quit”! Well I didn’t quit, I hung in there and I’m glad I did. Just about a year later, we’ve moved on to a more casual place where everyone can let loose after work, talk about the new things going on in their business and bounce ideas off one another. Out of our group of 15-20 people, about 4 are involved in the wedding industry. It’s become a great gathering with friends and I am proud to be a part of Networking After Hours. Tonight our friend Michelle who sells promotional items (who actually just made Randy & I’s Wedding Koozie’s) said she was leaving the group because she found a new job. We all started clapping because we were happy for her and then it was like wait what? Michelle you can’t go. We love you here, you have to still come to the meetings! Sooo, she said she would still be a part of the group even though she won’t get business from it anymore. She ageed because she likes us so much! Haha! Michelle, don’t sell us out!!
The meeting was held tonight at my friend Shelly’s Bridal Boutique, Bustles & Bows because tonight Shelly was giving a presentation on her business. She is AMAZING at what she does and I literally CAN NOT wait to go try on my gown next month. Shelly is the sweetest, most passionate bridal boutique owner there is. Just listening to her gracefully describe each area of her shop and say how when the brides try on their dress and veil, they look in the mirror and say “Woahh, I’m really a bride”, just gave me goose bumps. She is unlike any other and she truly cares about her customers. She always says, she loves her Bridezillas!
We ended the night by walking over to Drago’s, drinking wine and eating Charbroiled oysters and Fleur De Lis Shrimp! DELICIOUS!
Tonight we talked about Marketing yourself….you know the usual – Websites, Blogs, Facebook, Adding Videos to your site, etc… Lot’s of great ideas filled the room. The topic of blogs came up and I thought of an awesome idea to introduce the newest addition to my wedding party because her Momma reads my blog! :)
My FLOWER GIRL!! This cute little thing I am about to show you photos of just melts my heart. Not only is she adorable, but she is sooo sweet and loving. She doesn’t give you any of that waaahh wahhh, I want ONLY my Mommy Shanagans, she is so well rounded and I am proud to have her as my flower girl. Sometimes she comes over to my house to visit and just hops up on my Dad’s lap or holds his hand when he’s walking her across the street. So stinkin’ cute! Her mom has been my #1 Cheerleader ever since I started my business. She has always been interested in my photography, always been really good at giving me new ideas, and has referred me to many of her friends. She has been awesome and I am very grateful! Thanks Kristen.
Here’s my FLOWERGIRL! :)

Easter 2009 Photos~

She loves her some LSU!!~

Okay, so Kristen, you probably in shock… thinking wait whats going on?? (Kristen’s hubby, Bobby/Ramsey’s Jewelers is in my networking group and we had a little chat tonight). As we finished up our dinner, we were heading back to the car and I said, “Bobby, I’ve been meaning to ask you and Kristen if Caroline would be my flower girl”. He was like, “What, are you serious? Of Course”! Then he gave me a little hug. So Kristen, your hubby found out tonight and I told him to keep it a secret because I wanted you to read it here and be surprised! Thank you for being such a genuine friend since I started my business in 2007. I enjoyed taking Caroline’s 1 year photos, the Easter Portraits, and the cute little LSU picture of her. She has grown up so much and I’m looking forward to showing everyone some new photos. She is precious and I can’t wait for her to be a part of my special day! I know you are a regular blog reader, so I hope you were surprised. I’ll be seeing you soon and I can’t wait to take yall’s family photos next month.
On a side note, Bobby’s parents, Caroline’s grandparents, The Ramsey’s, are my parent’s neighbors, so I see Caroline quite often and sometimes get to babysit her :) Robert and Beth Ramsey have been my parents friends forever, they were actually in their wedding 30+ years ago! They recently moved directly across the street from us right before Katrina and we love them! We really enjoy the addition to our street and we’re happy that we’ve gotten close again. Mrs. Beth, thanks for the much needed glasses of wine and girl talk from time to time, me and my mom thoroughly enjoy that time spent with you! :)
Oh, one more thing………..geezum I am ALL OVER THE PLACE TONIGHT!!! Randy’s parents just got home from their week long vacation to the beach, guess what Mrs. Terri brings me back as a gift!! Yea… just look below!

If she keeps buying gifts like this, she’ll have grand kids before she knows it. How cute are those friggin’ shoes??? Thank you Mrs. Terri, but we have about 9 months to go before the wedding gets here!! You definitely got a laugh out of me tonight though! Just don’t buy the Recaro Baby Seat that Randy has been talking about since we first started dating at age 17. How could Randy not want that for his kid? His Daddy races Porsche’s – Greff Motors! He’s always said, my child WILL have a Recaro baby seat. HEY, you buy that…. your in trouble! Mrs. Terri likes to bring up grand baby’s alot! One day…….one day :) Love ya!
