This past weekend our friends had a little fun in the city. Sadly, I feel like I only go downtown if I’m shooting a wedding or have a French Quarter portrait session. Lots of times when I’m working, I’ll look around at everyone having a good ol’ time and think…”I really need to come down here more often.” So anyway, Saturday night a big group of us met at the Renaissance Hotel Bar, had a drink and hung out until it was time to get dinner. We went back to the rooms, got dressed and headed to Drago’s. Best Charbroiled Oysters and Lobster in the City! Afterward we went to Harrah’s so we could all test our luck. Thankfully Randy and I walked away $40 richer :) Monopoly is our favorite game – oh yea, and Deal or No Deal. I sound like a big gambler – far from it! When we were walking down Fulton Street we asked this nice lady to take our picture. She said okay….”Now 1…. 2….. 3….. Say FACEBOOK!” That was pretty funny. The night carried on to our other favorite spot, Lucy’s on Tchoupitoulas. After spending the night downtown, we all woke up and had lunch and watched the Saint’s game. Wonderful way to finish up my Holiday Break.
I made my portrait session giveaway phone calls this morning to the winners. I could hear it in their voice that they were so grateful and excited! YES!! When the weather warms up a little bit, they will start scheduling their portraits. Looking forward to sharing this with y’all. Anyway, back to editing for me :)
Here’s a pic of our friends who made it out this weekend. It was nice being a tourist in our own city!
