Happy Thanksgiving

What I’m thankful for at this very moment in life: a husband that loves me way too much, even on the days when I am crabby and not fun to be around. He still finds a way to make everything right in my world when it feels upside down. A family that has always been supportive of me, loving and there whenever I need something. My mom is hands down supermom and has been someone who I’ve looked up to my entire life. I slowly find myself turning into her even though I’ll probably never live up. I would have some big shoes to fill.

I look around my office and I’m overly thankful for this career that God’s blessed me with. And this house… its a home that we fix up one step at a time. I’m thankful to be going through this renovation process. Some days I wish I could just move into the house of my dreams. Yet I look at the big picture and realize speeding it up would be less exiting. Randy constantly reminds me of that… we’ll get there, be patient. There are process’ we go through that are little stepping stones to make us who we’re going to be become, how we act, how we treat people, etc… I’m convinced house renovation only makes you stronger, haha.

I am so lucky to have in laws like I do, who treat me as their own and have for the last 9 years. I am spoiled with their generosity and they are one of the reasons I am where I am. Along with my dads business influence, the Greffs have also been a great example of what it means to work hard and be successful. I am thankful to have such great role models in my life. If you want something bad enough, go after it with everything you’ve got.

I am thankful for my relationship with God, for without his guidance I wouldn’t be typing this right now. There is nothing like the peace you feel when you know He’s right there with you all the time. Faith is something that I work on everyday and every Sunday at mass. For me it’s like a little house of Faith that I’ve built, it constantly needs to be cared for and protected. If I lost it, I would feel like my life would crumble into a million tiny pieces. Without God’s grace, I just wouldn’t feel strong enough. It’s become a safe place where all my worries vanish.

I am so thankful to have the friends we do. Each one of them being completely unique and of their own. Whether it’s fancy dinners or home cooked meals at each others houses. We always have fun no matter what. There’s something to say about having friends you can completely let loose and unwind with. I love each one of them.

There’s probably a million things I’m forgetting but that’s what comes to mind right now. Remember to give thanks for all your blessings, cherish those around you, and say a few extra prayers. I am thankful I was able to spend the day with my cousin Shawn. Last Thanksgiving things were different.

Thankful for all of you as well. Thanks for always supporting me! 2011 is going to be one heck of year!
