I’ve been photographing Egan and Bre since they were little bitty. It’s always fun to shoot a familiar face and catch up. We took these in the French Quarter last month and it was really cold- but eventually they got the hang of it and were troopers! The first picture of Egan he was not having it! He wanted nothing to do with the camera or the chilly air! Nothing that some treats wouldn’t fix! Hey- whatever works! Well we got through just about the entire session and all was great- until the last 5 minutes. Here I am, literally almost buried in the bushes, trying to get some cute shots of the kids with their little hands on the iron gate. Well I step back, step forward – I’m literally all over the place, not even paying attention to my surroundings. Just then, I look down — this disgusting (sorry to even blog this) well anyway, there was a HUGE French Quarter RAT right at my feet, dead and just chillen right there! I wasn’t sure what to do besides grab the kids and run in the other direction and pretend like nothing ever happened. What a visual, right! As beautiful at the French Quarter scenery is – sometimes this kind of stuff happens! I’ve only seen this sort of thing once while shooting down there, so lets hope it doesn’t happen again!! YUCK-O! (Okay, I’m officially over it now!) I get grossed out by the weirdest stuff, I could go on for days of other things that repulse me- but I will spare yall!
It’s a new month, its Feb 1st. Whenever a new month comes along, its always like a new beginning for me, I usually get myself in check and make sure I’m on track. I did that this morning by running a list of errands. (2 major things accomplished- Dropped of my big folder of tax paperwork to my accountant, bought the new kitchen appliances! Yippie!)
Anyway- on the these 2 cuties – aren’t they adorable!! :)
