Last night my friend Noelle and I decided last minute to go to Corks-N-Canvas. This is the first time either one of us had ever been. It was a small class, just about ten of us. We both said how much we liked this quirky little painting of the girl with a bird on her head, but we really didn’t make plans to attend.
Just 5 minutes before the class started, we were like ‘ya know what….let’s just go…. it’ll be fun’. Randy had band practice and Noelle’s boyfriend Stevie had night class, so we just WENT! Sometimes its nice to do things spur of the moment, no planning, no thinking….just saying I’m free, your free….LETS GO!
Oh course Noelle’s girl had blonde locks and blue eyes and I opted for a version looking more like myself with brown eyes and brown hair.
We had a great time paining and decided this would become a regular thing! I haven’t painted since my last semester at LSU, being a Fine Art major, we were required to take a few painting and drawing classes. Last night made me realize how much I missed the feel of the canvas and the smell of the paint. It’s definitely a relaxing experience. It really felt good to just sit there and mindlessly PAINT!
