I remember first talking to Allison on the phone months and months ago, she was so sweet, so relaxed, so easy going. It was a pleasure to photograph Allison & Phillips wedding and it was exciting to see their wedding day pan out just how they wished. A wedding that included close family and friends, a fabulous meal, laughter, and the love they share for one another. Allison has a smile that can literally light up a room, which is shown in just about every picture.
Allison & Phillip were married on June 20, 2009 on a warm summer night here in New Orleans. Preparation began at Allison’s parents home in Old Metairie, where Allison & Phillip decided to see each other before the ceremony began … Also known as “The First Look”. So I took a few shots as Allison was walking down the stairs, I love the photos because you see Phillip waiting for her at the bottom and you see Mrs. Lynn (Allison’s Mom) off to the side, smiling in the foyer mirror. Allison wore her Mom’s wedding dress, her seamstress used all of the original fabric, just made some slight alternations. Such a great idea!
The ceremony was held at Temple Sinai on St. Charles Ave. followed by a sit down dinner reception at the delicious “Arnaud’s” on Bienville. Allison had a quick change into her beautiful white cocktail dress, and then the reception began.
Thank you both for letting me share in your day, here are some of my favorites:
