I’m slightly behind on my blog posts that include lots of photos because my iMac has been at Apple getting fixed and upgraded for the past week & it can be a little difficult to try and do all the steps it requires to blog on my little laptop. Anyway, just got it back….so now I’ll have lots of posts this week =)
Elisha & Bruce married on June 27, 2009 in the courtyard of Chateau LeMoyne in the French Quarter. Following the ceremony, they requested “After the I-do” photos that included some shots with their family. This wedding was a little different than my typical shooting day of prep, ceremony, and reception. Elisha and Bruce took a different route, they wanted to capture something special and unique after saying their vows. They began by riding a carriage through the French Quarter, then hopped off and I photographed them just celebrating and having fun with each other around Jackson Square. Later, we went to City Park and got some really great shots under the beautiful oak trees.
As you can see from the photos, it rained during the ceremony, yet their was still laughter all around and tears of happiness. Elisha says to me later, “It’s okay, I’m glad it rained, boy was it HOT, we needed that!” There were even raindrops on my lens in some photos, but I kept it and didn’t edit them out because its part of the day; part of the memory. It was comforting to be with such a carefree and loving couple. I still crack a smile every time I look at the photos of Bruce doing the ‘happy skip~!’
Elisha and Bruce, I had a great time capturing your special day! Randy also said he had fun, even though all he did was carry around my 40 lb camera bag & fetch me bottles of water because it was so dang HOT while shooting ;)
