Check Check Check!

The days have been slipping away faster than I can blink. I am trying to check as much stuff off as possible so the final week I’m not running around like a mad woman! I can not even believe in a little over 2 weeks the day will be here. I wrapped up work on Monday… finished all photo orders, client shoots, editing, current album design, photo uploading, etc.. I am officially off for one month and I will pick up right where I left off when I get home from the honeymoon.

I check my emails and answer phone calls all day so please feel free to contact me if you are a past bride who needs to finish up album photo choices, a past portrait session client who needs to order prints, or if you are a potential client who is interested in booking a portrait session or wedding. I am still scheduling wedding meetings while I am off. When I say off, I just mean no shoots at this time, however I am still able to get everything else done for you guys!

I’ve gotten a lot of things checked off my wedding to do list over the past few days. However, some things I really had no idea would take me so long! The wording for the church program took forever to get right. My mom helped big time with that, just writing it all out for me, then I needed to pick bible versus, pick readers, type it all up and send it to get proofed by the wedding vocalist. She approved it, then it was sent to the same company that made the wedding invites. You all saw what those looked like- so needless to say they will be similiar in design. Now comes a ton of emailing back and forth until its correct, which is what I’m in the process of doing right now. Tip to my brides: get this kind of stuff done early so it’s not weighing on your shoulders right at the end. Start outlining your church program at least a couple of months before. (Correct spelling of everyone’s names, middle names, bible verse picks, musicians, etc..)

Another thing is the photo slideshow for the rehearsal dinner. WOOOWZAA… do I have a lot of photos to pick from!! I am not even joking, it probably took me nearly 6 hours today sifting through old digital files and scanning in old images. I might have close to 5,000-10,000 personal images on my computer since my first digital camera back in 2004…. I’m not sure I wanna know how many pictures I have. Thankfully my wonderful cousin Casey who lives in California and who is involved with the film industry will be making our slideshow. No doubt- it’ll be awesome! I’m still not done. More scanning to do tomorrow and picking music. Another note- don’t wait til the end to do this!! Start setting aside your favorite photos all throughout your engagement :)

Today we met with the florist again to finalize flower arrangement and bouquets. Tomorrow we meet with the reception location again to walk through where everything will be set up the day of! Afterward, I need to buy some fun wrapping paper to start wrapping the bridesmaids gifts. I can’t stop thinking about how my past brides did it? It takes ALOT OF EFFORT to pull off a wedding. I’ve shot lots of stunning ones, so I know that there was alot of hard work put in. Big props to all my past brides!

I guess I’ve done enough rambling. Thank you all for reading, I guess it helps you to get to know me a little better. Hopefully my posts are entertainment for you! Maybe they will get you thinking about something you’d like to try or read, maybe you’ll start doing crafty things, or maybe you’re one of my bride’s who is taking this journey with me?! Whatever it may be, thanks ;) My GoDaddy Website Traffic Reader is saying that I’ve had nearly 6,000 hits so far this month. Craziness!

By the way…. check this picture out that Randy and I stumbled upon tonight. AHHH hahahahaha! Randy went through a long hair stage his first year at LSU. This was taken at my High School Graduation. (He might not ever talk to me again after posting this!!) But hey it was 8 years ago. He’ll get over it ;)
