So today makes 5 Months until The Wedding, My Wedding, Our Wedding! Time is flying faster than it ever has in my entire life, its starting to feel like crunch time all around me. There is no more time to put things off, it needs to be done like yesterday. At least that’s what it feels like in my head. I can tell you one thing, at times it can be a bit overwhelming but I have to pinch myself and savor the moments. The wedding day: I’ve photographed it time and time again, the way it unfolds is just ingrained in my head – so I should be good at this right? Plan plan plan!
I have to be honest. I haven’t picked up my camera in a week or so. It’s cold and no one wants their picture taken in 30 degree weather. Don’t blame ya! Brrr! When the birds start chirping, the blue haze of the crisp cold air begins to fade, and the sun starts to warm us all up – it will be comfortable for everyone again, no doubt! Its actually already starting to warm up a bit. So I’m taking the time to catch up on put off work – both business and personal. Getting things organized for my accountant for my taxes, registering, checking out the bridesmaid luncheon venue, organizing wedding files, buying decorations for Randy’s Honey Do Shower, Reading, Trying to eat better, working out and lastly starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel for the 2 month complete kitchen renovation. Checking things off!!
So I started reading this book called Vision in White by Nora Roberts. I bought it about 6 months ago when we went to Florida, thinking that I would read it while I was vacationing. I never read it. My last bride Tiphanie wrote me an email a few months back telling me she found this book and that it reminded her of me and that I MUST read it. I never read it. (I laughed and told her she hit the nail on the head b/c I bought it but was just waiting to read it) Well its new year and I’m working on that resolution I talked about. I truly forgot how much I love to read and how relaxing it is. I started the book last night, I think I have a few chapters left. It’s so incredibly good. I haven’t gotten to the end, so I’m not sure how it plays out. The book is about a girl named Mackensie that’s a wedding photographer. She is in business with her 3 girlfriends and they have a wedding company named Vows. One friend is cake decorator, one friend is a florist and the other is an wedding planner. Total package – it seems the be a fairytale work situation. All the girls have so much fun together. Anyway Mackensie runs into an old guy friend named Carter that she hasn’t seen since they were very young. As you can probably guess, they hit it off….. I am still reading so I guess we’ll see what happens! Awesome book- its a little addicting.
Thank you to my two brides that booked this week – looking forward to photographing your beautiful weddings!
Back to my book! :)
