Chris and Alison had a sweet intimate ceremony here in New Orleans last Saturday. Preparation began at a charming vintage house in the Uptown area. There were tons and tons of amazing things for me to photograph prep details on. It was a photographers dream…. well more like my dream. I love pieces that show age and character, whether it be an old telephone or a 100 year old kitchen table. Loved that house!
I had only spoken with Alison on the phone a couple of times before we met for the day of the wedding, I could tell we were going to hit it off. She is just so sweet, caring and up for anything! The 3 kids that you will see tons of photos of are Chris’ kids, they were so polite and cute… I could have photographed them all day! Alison is now their step momma, you can tell they adore her :)
We headed downtown to the French Quarter where we started with photographs of Chris and Alison and then some family shots. The love between these two is so genuine, you can see it in the way they look at each other. They are full of life and full of smiles. My kind of couple! The ceremony was held right at the entrance of Jackson Square in front of the Cathedral. Close family joined in witnessing Chris and Alison says their I Do’s. We ended the day with a few more shots around the Quarter.
I get to photograph a mix of all types of weddings and that is what makes my job so fun. I had a great time with Alison, Chris and their family documenting the day. The lighting was perfect for us, all around… it was a great Saturday in New Orleans! Congratulations to the beautiful couple!
