I attended Image X workshop last week here in New Orleans where I had the pleasure of meeting and learning from some of the best photographers in the country. It changed the way I view the photography world, the wedding industry, and my business. I met some amazing and talented people who shared their experiences in getting where they are today. I realized that great photographers are confident, patient, passionate, and most importantly HAPPY! These are the people that I went there to learn from, these are the people that truly love what they do.
I feel blessed to have a career that often doesn’t feel like work. I get to meet and work with some really cool and unique people who appreciate the beauty in photography. I love when people get it, when they see it, when they understand the timeless gift they are giving themselves…whether it be a wedding or a portrait session. Photos have the power take us back to a moment in time that will never re-play. These are the things that I take pleasure in capturing….these are the things that have molded me into who I am today.
The experience of Image X has brought me here….blogging. Even if no one ever reads this, its still a place of self discovery. The photography world can be challenging and competitive, and being one of the youngest in the business is a whole different story. Surrounding yourself with positive people and staying true to yourself is what matters. I hope to show a closer look at my life and the things at inspire me.
