Last Wednesday I had the pleasure of attending NOLA’s first Photog Shootout. It was nearly 50 photographers from New Orleans and the surrounding areas. We started off with a quick introduction by our friend Rob Nicholson who began this group up for us. We had a few models that we tried out some different lighting techniques and tricks on. We wrapped up the day at Mother’s Next Door where we ate, drank, talked photography, and became better friends. Our little community of photographers really needed this, it is something we plan to do every 3-4 months. We all had a really great night and I look forward to doing it again! We have broken the competition barrier and we are better photographers because of it. Because at the end of the day – we each have our own unique clients that chose us for a reason! :) We are a community and we all have one goal in mind – to give back some really great photos to our clients!
