Elizabeth and Austin are just plain adorable! I photographed their Engagement Party this past month, so it was great to see them again last week! We took these in Audubon Park and I love the natural feeling of the trees and moss. Elizabeth just glows in front the lens, she is so beautiful! Last night my mom was over and I showed her a couple of these images, she asks… how do you get them to do that? What are you telling them? My biggest goal when photographing Engagements is to get my couples to let down their guard and to act like I’m not there. Sure, I’ll pose them a little but it’s the moments in between and the plain raw emotion that I’m looking for. I’ll take true feelings over a perfectly composed and exposed photo any day. When I look at these photos, they make me happy. Looking forward to shooting their wedding this coming January at New Orleans Museum of Art! Thank you Elizabeth and Austin for being such naturals in front of my lens :) See you guys soon!

I have my last session this afternoon before Christmas. Then I’m off for a week. I’ve had 17 portrait sessions so far this month. Yes, I believe that’s a record for me :) I’ve enjoyed every minute of it!! Can’t wait to spend time with my family, friends, and Randy this upcoming week! (Our bathroom renovation is complete and it’s heaven… will post renovation process soon)
