As I work my way through busy season, I can’t help but think of 2011 and the 20 weddings I have booked already. It’s going to be a great year and I am looking forward to working with some very special couples! I will only be taking 5 more weddings for next year, main reason being is to still be able to photograph family, children and maternity sessions in between. Along with having the time to shoot all the engagement and bridal sessions that are included in those 20+ booked weddings. I mentioned a few months back that 25 would be my wedding cut off and I hope to stay true to my word. There’s a few things that I have to be mindful of as the new year approaches. As with every business, there needs to be rules set. Burnt out photographer = not good! There are certain things that are really important to me: keeping clients my priority, giving photos back in a reasonable amount of time, having complete control from start to finish and every step in between, attending workshops, blogging my sessions, and lastly remembering to take time to reboot my creativity in between busy seasons. I hope that I can continue following these simple guidelines I’ve made for myself. It’s proved to be a very important part of my business and I hope it’s why so many of you have put your faith in me as your photographer. Thank you.

Looking forward to the Holidays… who has their decorations out already? I bought some pumpkins at the grocery for the porch and I have a Saint’s wreath on our front door. That’s about it! Can’t wait to put lights up this year for Christmas and get a tree! It’ll be Randy and I’s first Christmas as a married couple, living in the same house, decorating and celebrating together. I can’t wait to pull out all of our Wedding ornaments and to pick out a tree together. What I would really like to do is…. drive to Mississippi and find the place where you can pick out and cut down your own tree. I am seriously daydreaming right now, I still have a couple of months to go. I’ve been editing a lot lately, so I often find my mind wondering about the upcoming Holidays/Special Occasions while I’m sitting at my computer. One in particular is being in the Bahamas this year on my 26th Birthday as I watch our best friends Dana and Tim walk down the aisle. I get goosebumps thinking about Dana in her dress on her wedding day, I will be there to document what I can, but since Randy and I are both standing in the wedding… I will be limited. (Who knows, maybe I’ll be the crazy bridesmaid that walks down the aisle with my camera in my hand, ha joking!)

Thanks for always checking back in to read and see whats new :) Happy Thursday! For all you Jersey Shore fans….. It’s tttt-shirttt timmme!! Champagne, YEA, Champagne, yeaaa! Randy hates that I love reality TV shows so much, however he does watch Jersey Shore from time to time. It’s just hysterical and mindless. It makes my Thursday nights… they come up with the stupidest sayings, its always a good laugh!

The extent of my Halloween Decorations…

Hard to believe we are already halfway through October, it’s crazy how fast this year has seemed to slip away.
