Wes and I grew up together- in fact his parents were in my parents wedding! Erica and I have known each other since we were about 12 when we used to cheer on the boys at JPRD baseball games! I was honored when they asked me to be their wedding photographer- however I decided I wanted to be a guest and truly enjoy and celebrate with them! I recommended some great photographers for the wedding day, but I really really wanted to photograph their Engagement Session. I tell this to all my CLOSE friends- I’m your girl for your engagements and bridals- however for the wedding day, I’m going to be a little selfish and just come as a guest instead of the photographer :)

For their pictures- it felt like we went all over. We went to the Oberservation Deck that overlooks the city (where they got engaged), we got some shots in the French Quarter, outside the Roosevelt (where they are having their reception), inside the Sazerac Bar, in Lakeview by the boat launch, near this huge boat that sits in the street outside the Marina (I think its left over from Katrina?), then we went to back home to get some shots with their dog, Coach! Overall, it was a fun morning with my great friends!

Here are just some from their session….
