Well today is my first morning in my new office. Randy and I have been renovating the spare bedroom in his house for a couple of months now. This past weekend we moved all of my business stuff into its new home. Its finally complete and it feels all nice and cozy. We will be getting married next summer, so the office just seemed to make sense right now, its just one less thing I’ll have to worry about moving when the time comes. I’ll have the house to myself on weekdays to get lots of work done.<\/p>\n
About the house…. wouldn’t it be wild to move into a brand spanking new house without lifting a finger? Funny how things just don’t happen like that, actually I’m glad things didn’t happen like that. It’s been a fun process along the way…. ripping down old paneled walls, tearing out carpet, having the wooden floors refinished, picking out paint colors, having my brothers help to put up crown molding, decorating, moving furniture, painting doors, putting new hardware on, etc.. There’s a comfort level in this house, knowing it was an elderly couples house before and that Randy and I will now make what was once their home become ours. The styles have changed and updating is a must, it’s been a very interesting process. Randy does everything the correct way, taking his time, doing it right. I’ve always been the mover and the shaker, needing immediate gratification, trying to find the shortcut. Must be a girl thing, eh? You learn alot about yourself and the other person when you have to work together to get things done. There’s no one I’d rather do this with then Randy.<\/p>\n
Here are a few photos of the office renovation, its definitely come a long way….
