    Hi, my name is Jen Amato and I am a Wedding & Portrait Photographer based out of New Orleans, LA. Welcome to my Blog! This is where you will find my most recent work, I update after each shoot. I think it is very important to get to know the photographer behind the lens, so I often post personal entries. I hope to share a little bit of my life with you! Photographing people has been so rewarding, that's why I LOVE what I do! My goal is for my photography to keep life's irreplaceable moments alive forever. Creating friendships with each person I photograph has been the best part! I hope you enjoy viewing my work and learning just a little bit about myself and my clients. Thanks for visiting and be sure to check back soon!

Matt & Alexis :: Wedding

Alexis & Matt married on January 14, 2012! They were my first couple to ring in the new year! It feels like yesterday that Alexis booked me for her Wedding. It was almost 2 years prior to her Wedding date and I was in awe at the meeting! I was so so honored that she enjoyed my photography that much to book that early! I feel like I have grown so much over the years, it truly made my day to photograph this special day for her and Matt! We both grew up in the same neighborhood so it’s been great getting to spend time with them!

Preparation was held at Alexis’ parents home, the Ceremony was at St. Matthew the Apostle Church in River Ridge, and the Reception was at Chateau Country Club. Her flowers were gorgeous and I truly have not seen my hometown church of St. Matthew look so beautiful! That is were I attended grammar school! I was so incredibly proud that night to be photographing in my church for the first time. This is where I attend church every Sunday. It was almost like I saw myself again as a child and then there I was holding my camera… a Wedding Photographer is who I became. Almost 15 years later! It was one of those surreal moments in life.

Thank you Matt & Alexis for having us there to document your day! What an honor! You guys look so happy and full of life! Just beautiful! Many blessings to you both in the future :)

Updated Availability

I can’t thank you all enough for the endless support. Since my last availability post, my schedule is completely booked solid until June 2012. That’s with 4-6 sessions scheduled per week and Weddings every other weekend. I wish I could take in more, but I know I won’t be able to keep up with the workflow. I will start a waiting list in case a spot becomes available in between. Thank you to my clients – you all mean so much to me!!

*To my ‘Grow With Me’ parents… Don’t worry ;) I have saved spots in between for your sessions**

Alexis :: Bridals

We headed to City Park to photograph Alexis’ Bridal Portraits! She looked so beautiful! I’ve been waiting to share these with you guys, but needed to wait until her Wedding was over :) I am looking forward to sharing those, too. Still editing…! It’s been so much fun getting to really know Alexis since the day she booked with me almost 2 years ago! We grew up in the same neighborhood, so of course we know lots of the same people! I had a great time with Alexis, her mom and sister at this shoot! Extra hands are always helpful for Bridal session!

Here’s some of my favs from the day:

Eliza :: 1 Year

I’ve had the pleasure of photographing The Palmisano kiddos for several years now. Eliza is the youngest of 3 and she is now ONE! We had a great time at Audubon Park, the weather was so nice! I am really starting to love these random crying photos that I get every now and then from the kids that I photograph. When you get older, those are the photos that bring back lots of memories. You’ll see what I’m talking about towards the end ;) Gotta love it!

Here are some of my favs from Eliza’s session:

Priceless….

Addison :: 9 Months

It’s been so much fun watching Addison grow, we had a great time at her shoot the other day! I was in love with the Fleurty Girl onesie and tutu that her Mom had for her! Mardi Gras themes are always precious! It was a beautiful day at Audubon Park! I can’t wait until her ONE year session!

Here are some favs!

I put a teaser photo on my Facebook page yesterday. Addison was famous within a few minutes! Honored that Fleurty Girl reposted my photo!! :)
